Happy Landiversary!!!

ONE YEAR IN!

Well technically... today is the day we won the land at auction so none of the real work (or stress!) had started.  We were still loved up and busy daydreaming.... we're pretty good at daydreaming!

27th June 2014

Last night Woody and I were up at the land late (a small horse-related crisis....as usual) and we spent half an hour or so wandering about planning our next fencing/hedge row line, cross country jumps, new stables, wildflower meadow area and woodland planting zone....always jumping way ahead of ourselves!

Just as it was getting too dark to see anything (about 10.30pm) we both turned just in time to see a huge shooting star pass over the top of the little oak tree.  Little moments of magic like that make our daydreams feel not too distant and ridiculous after all (ok, it was just falling space junk but it was pretty magic at the time).

Everything considered we have achieved a fair amount in the last year on the land, mostly finding out feet!  We have also got the horses out of livery, kept fit over the winter shifting logs, learnt a lot about auctions, equipment, trees, wildlife, spent more time outdoors and most importantly made some real, like minded friends.

Its been fun, so here's to more of the above!
